Kerala PSC Guidelines For Photo Upload


Kerala PSC has made it mandatory for applicants to upload photos along with online applications. Applications without photos will be rejected. Not only that, PSC has issued guidelines on photo upload. Care should be taken before uploading photos to ensure that specifications set out by PSC are met.

From 1/3/2011, candidates should possess valid documents to prove their identity. Candidates without proper documents will not be allowed to attend the exam.

Guidelines For Upload
1.      Color / black & white photos should have candidate’s face distinctly visible, straight and at the centre of the photo. Shoulder tops should be also clear on the photo.
2.      Photo should have either white or lightly colored background.
3.      Eyes should be open and clearly visible
4.      Photos should be in jpg format, and dimensions should be 200 pixels tall and 150 pixels wide. Size should not exceed 30 kb.
5.      Photographs should be taken after 31/12/2010, and candidate’s name and date of photo taken should be printed at the bottom of the photo.
6.      Photos where candidate is seen to be wearing cap or goggles will be rejected.

Instructions for Identification
Candidate should have valid documents to prove their identity while in the exam hall. Any of the following documents are required to prove the identity. Candidates should take along with them the original and an attested copy of the document

1.       Voter’s ID card issued by the Election Commission
2.       Pan card
3.       Driving license
4.      Bank Pass Books with photo issued by nationalized banks.
5.       Government employees can use the ID card issued by the institution for which they work.
6.       For the handicapped, ID card issued by the social welfare department will do.
Candidates without any of these identity proof documents will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
Photo uploads not conforming to these instructions will be rejected by the Commission. Also please note that cell phones are not permitted inside examination hall.
